The Church of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 1253 Shakespeare Avenue (West 168 Street), Bronx, New York City 10452. The church building was designed by architect Elliott Lynch, who designed several other Catholic churches and parish schools. The church is connected with a school of the same name.

Corpus Christi Monastery is the oldest Dominican monastery in the United States, currently located in the Bronx at Lafayette Avenue. This is a 115-year old branch of the first monastery of nuns founded by St. Dominic de Guzman in Prouilhe, France, in 1206. The original monastery was founded by Mother Mary of Jesus (Julia Crooks of New York City) in Newark, NJ, in 1880. Nine years later, she and five other Sisters came to the Bronx, at the invitation of Archbishop Michael Augustine Corrigan.

Holy Cross Church is a Roman Catholic church located at 329 West 42nd Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, near Times Square and across the street from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The Holy Cross Parish was established in 1852 and a chapel erected, which the congregation quickly outgrew. In 1854, a new building was constructed and dedicated, but lightning struck this second structure in 1867, and the ensuing fire severely damaged it.

The Church of the Holy Rosary is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 444 East 119th Street, East Harlem, Manhattan, New York City. The parish was established in 1884 for the for the Germans and the Irish of the newly developed neighborhood. The present church building was dedicated in 1898.

In 1923 Bishop Thomas E. Molloy of the Brooklyn Diocese invited the Passionists to establish a new parish in Jamaica, Queens. On July 5, 1924 the parish of the Immaculate Conception was formally organized when founding pastor, Father Chrysostom Smith, C.P. celebrated the first Mass in the library of the Degnon mansion. A small temporary framed church was erected on the grounds and the first public Mass was celebrated on November 9, 1924.

Immaculate Conception Church is Roman Catholic christian church located at 29th strit in Astoria, Queens. The first congregation mass took place on January 27, 1924 at 2819 Ditmars Avenue, the home of Dr. John J. Dempsey. An increase of worshipers number resulted the hiring of “Offenbacher’s Hall” on Second Avenue to accommodate these rapidly expanding needs and it was here that Immaculate Conception’s first organizational meeting was held on the night of February 6, 1924. The construction of present church building was finished on Christmas 1924.

Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 150th Street at Melrose Avenue, Bronx, New York City, in the Melrose neighborhood of the South Bronx. The parish was established in 1853. It is staffed by the Redemptorist Fathers. The church boasts the highest spire in the Bronx.

Lisanti Family Chapel, The Bronx

In 1905 Francesco Lisanti, an Italian baker in the Bronx, built a private family chapel, which today reveals much about the challenges turn-of-the-century Italian immigrants faced and the creative solutions they devised to meet their spiritual needs. This place of worship served the Lisanti family as well as community members until the 1970s.

Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, The Bronx

Deep into the Bronx lies this serene shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes that one would expect to find somewhere in the European countryside rather than in one of the world's most populous urban areas. Built in 1929, at the request of the pastor of the nearby St. Lucy's Roman Catholic Church, the small stone grotto quickly became the object of pilgrimages from not only New Yorkers, but people from across the United States.
